International Umpire Qualifying Course 2026 · San Martín, Buenos Aires, Argentina · August 22–23, 2026
A new standard for officiating in international Taekwon-Do — the ITF Union International Umpire Qualifying Course 2026 made history in Buenos Aires. 🇦🇷🥋
On August 22 and 23, 2026, San Martín, Buenos Aires, Argentina became the center of international Taekwon-Do officiating as ITF Union successfully held the International Umpire Qualifying Course 2026. The event brought together umpires and officials from across the region in a two-day intensive program designed to raise the global standard of tournament officiating within the ITF Union community.
The course was delivered in hybrid format — welcoming participants both on-site and online from around the world — making it one of the most inclusive umpire certification events in ITF Union history.

Academic Leadership
The course was directed by three of ITF Union’s most respected technical and organizational leaders:
- GM Fabián Pini — Chairman, Tournament Committee, ITF Union
- Master Horacio Fasan — Chairman, Umpire Committee, ITF Union · VIII Dan
- Master Leonardo Oros Duek — Organizational Consultant, ITF Union · VII Dan

Two Days of High-Level Instruction
Over the course of two full days, participants received comprehensive training covering all aspects of ITF Union tournament officiating — from rules interpretation and competition protocols to the practical application of judging criteria in real match scenarios.
A highlight of the 2026 edition was the inclusion of the International Adaptive Umpire Certification Program, one of the first international initiatives to train officials specifically for adaptive and inclusive Taekwon-Do competitions. This represents a major step forward in ITF Union’s commitment to making the sport accessible and equitable for all practitioners.

A Global Community of Officials
The participation of officials from multiple countries — both in person and via the online platform — reflected the truly international character of this event. ITF Union’s commitment to making high-quality training accessible regardless of geography was on full display throughout the two days.

“A new generation of certified ITF Union umpires is ready to uphold the highest standards of officiating in competitions across the world.”
