On August 22 and 23, 2026, the global Taekwon-Do community witnessed a landmark moment in the development of international officiating. ITFU Sporting Events and ITF Union, through their Tournament and Referee Committees, successfully hosted the first-ever International Qualifying Umpire Course — a two-day intensive program held in hybrid format at San Martín, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and broadcast live online to participants from multiple countries.
This historic course was not merely a training event — it represented the launch of a unified, internationally recognized officiating system for ITF Union, designed to standardize referee education across all member federations and prepare officials for the highest levels of competition.

The successful completion of this inaugural course marks the beginning of a recurring international education initiative.
