The Taekwon-Do Verein Wanne e.V. marked a significant milestone by celebrating its 25th anniversary with an outstanding Masterclass Seminar held in Herne, Germany. Practitioners, instructors and guests from across the country gathered to honor the club’s decades of dedication to technical excellence, community service and the development of Taekwon-Do in the region.
International Instruction of the Highest Level
The seminar was led by ITF Union President Grandmaster Don Dalton (IX Dan) and Asia ITFU President Master Juanito Arsol (VIII Dan), who delivered a dynamic and technically rich program covering advanced combinations, tul work, self-defense and fundamental principles. Their clear teaching structure, precision and motivating leadership created an inspiring atmosphere for all participants throughout the day.
Official Recognition from the City of Herne
The event was honored by the presence of official representatives from the city of Herne. City Councillor Andreas Merkendorf delivered a formal greeting on behalf of the Lord Mayor, acknowledging the club’s contributions to youth development, integration and local sports culture. Julia Brächter, the new Chairwoman of the Stadtsportbund Herne, also offered her congratulations and recognized the club’s long-term commitment to the community.
Special Moment: 6th Dan Promotion
One of the most memorable highlights of the day was the promotion of Roland Jensen, head instructor and chairman of Taekwon-Do Verein Wanne e.V., who was examined and awarded the 6th Dan by Grandmaster Don Dalton during the seminar. This achievement reflects decades of dedication, teaching experience and continuous personal development within the art of Taekwon-Do.
Community Spirit and Volunteer Commitment
The anniversary event was made possible by the commitment of numerous volunteers who arrived early in the morning to set up banners, equipment, seating and technical arrangements. Their teamwork and dedication reflected the strong community spirit that has defined the club throughout its 25-year history.
