The National Open Taekwon-Do Championships 2026 (Mayor Cup 2083) was successfully held in Butwal, Nepal, gathering 204 athletes from 13 clubs under the ITFU banner.
The International Taekwon-Do Federation Union (ITFU) is proud to celebrate the successful conclusion of the National Open Taekwon-Do Championships 2026 — Mayor Cup 2083, held on May 9, 2026 (Baishakh 26, 2083 BS) in the city of Butwal, Nepal.
The tournament was hosted by the Nepal Young Brother’s Taekwon-Do Club, under the dedicated leadership of Sabum Janak Raj Gautam, with the generous financial support of the Butwal Sub-Metropolitan government. The event was officially associated with the Nepal Taekwon-Do Confederation, ITFU-ASIA, and the International Taekwon-Do Federation Union (ITFU).
A Championship of Excellence
The event brought together 204 athletes representing 13 clubs and schools from different districts across Nepal, competing in both Sparring and Pattern categories for male and female divisions. Winners were awarded gold, silver, and bronze medals, along with official certificates, while team trophies were presented for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the team competition.
