Víctor Masuero Awarded as Best Umpire of the Championship
The ITFU Open World Championship Argentina 2025 brought together over 1,100 competitors from 20 countries, standing out not only for its level of competition but also for the outstanding work of the Umpire Team, which ensured transparency, fairness, and technical precision in every match.
Led by Master Horacio Fasan, Chairman of the ITFU Umpire Committee, and supported by Máximo Gilles and Conrado Oliveira, the umpire team demonstrated professionalism, dedication, and consistency throughout the four days of competition — setting a benchmark for excellence within ITF Union worldwide.
During the closing ceremony, Master Víctor Masuero received the Best Umpire of the World Championship Award, recognizing his leadership, impartiality, and commitment throughout the event. His performance earned admiration from both his colleagues and ITFU officials, representing the true spirit of service and integrity that defines the federation.
“The work of the Umpires was flawless. Their discipline and dedication were essential for this World Championship to be remembered as one of the most organized and fair in our history,” stated Grand Master Fabián Pini, Chairman of the ITFU World Tournament Committee.
The umpire team, composed of representatives from various nations, applied the rules with consistency, fairness, and human understanding, ensuring a respectful and balanced environment for all competitors.
