“This will be a championship that sets a new milestone in the history of Taekwon-Do”
With less than a month to go before the ITFU World Championship 2025, Grand Master Fabián Pini, Chairman of the World Tournament Committee, shared exclusive insights into the preparations for the most anticipated event of the year.
Pini confirmed that the championship will welcome 20 countries and more than 1,100 competitors, a figure that reflects the steady growth of ITF Union worldwide and the trust in its leadership and organization.
“We are proud to host delegations from across the globe. The scale of this championship proves the strength of ITF Union and the serious work we have done to deliver an event of excellence,” said Grand Master Pini.
This past Saturday, a crucial meeting was held with coaches and instructors, where technical and logistical guidelines were discussed to ensure smooth operations. Preliminary draw sheets for competition brackets were also sent out for review, ensuring fairness and accuracy in every detail.
“We want every competitor to feel represented and respected. That’s why we work rigorously on every aspect, from refereeing to bracket organization. Transparency is the hallmark of our management,” emphasized Pini.
Looking beyond the competition itself, Pini stressed the broader impact of the event:
“Buenos Aires will become the capital of world Taekwon-Do. This is not only about competing but about sharing experiences, values, and passion for our martial art. This championship will mark a new era for Taekwon-Do.”
With the countdown underway, the ITFU World Championship 2025 promises to be a historic celebration of martial excellence at the Argentinos Juniors, Malvinas Argentinas Stadium, Buenos Aires.
