A historic present built on an exemplary evolution
Over the past three years, ITF Union Iran has experienced an unprecedented period of expansion and strengthening. What began with a single impactful International Instructor Course (IIC) has now evolved into two IICs and an Umpire Course, setting a new benchmark for technical and organizational development of Taekwon-Do in the country.
Today’s success reflects a consistent upward trajectory:
- In 2023, from September 18th to 20th, Tehran hosted an IIC that brought together practitioners from across the nation, marking the start of a structured training process.
- In 2024, on December 5th and 6th, a new IIC and Umpire Course raised the total number of certified participants to over 180, enhancing technical standards and preparing top-tier officials for international events.
Leading this progress is Master Hamid Mohtashami, the driving force of the project in Iran, with the decisive backing of Master Hadi Saei, President of all Taekwon-Do in Iran, a living legend of the sport, multiple world champion, and Olympic medalist. Master Saei’s support has been instrumental in opening doors, consolidating the structure, and projecting ITF Union toward a future of unity and excellence.
“The goal has always been clear: to develop technically proficient and ethically strong leaders who can represent Iran with pride on any stage in the world,” said Master Mohtashami, underlining the shared vision with Master Saei.
With a track record of steady growth and a present that reflects institutional maturity, ITF Union Iran stands as a regional benchmark, building on the achievements of the past and looking ambitiously toward the future.
