In a continued effort to professionalize, expand, and elevate competition standards, the International Taekwon-Do Federation Union (ITFU) and its World Tournament Committee are leading an official Umpire Course in Costa Rica, combining virtual and in-person training formats.
Organized by the Asociación Marcial de Taekwon-Do ITFU Costa Rica (AMTCR), the course will be conducted by Master Horacio Fasan, ITFU Umpire Director, and overseen by Grand Master Fabián Pini, Chairman of the World Tournament Committee. Local coordination and hosting are provided by Senior Instructor Carlos Navarro, President of AMT ITFU Costa Rica.
📅 Key Dates:
- Online: June 13 & 18
- In-person: June 29
🧠 The training will cover essential areas such as protocol, sparring, tuls, and special techniques, and will conclude with official certification, enabling participants to officiate as national umpires, particularly for the upcoming National ITFU Championship in Costa Rica 🇨🇷.
This initiative, open through dual modality, promotes inclusive access and technical growth, supporting ITFU’s global mission to form ethical, skilled, and unified officiating teams.
“Taekwon-Do is more than a sport—it’s a path of values and growth. Through education and structure, ITFU builds the future of our community.”
